Colin's career has been as a management consultant working in a wide range of industries. In recent years his professional interests have turned towards working with boards of directors who are keen to review their performance.
He currently serves on the boards of Wesfarmers Ltd and Origin Energy Ltd, as well as several not-for-profit organisations including the Indigenous Enterprise Partnership, the Australian Charities Fund and Melbourne Affordable Housing. He is also a Commissioner of the Australian Football League and serves as an advisor to The Boston Consulting Group, the firm from which he retired in 2000.
