Official Venue – Walk Events
The Melbourne Docklands location has been chosen as the venue for the Games’ Walks events and the marathon course will also pass along the stunning waterfront of Victoria Harbour.
Visitors will also be able to experience the excitement and atmosphere at the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games when the Queen’s Baton Relay makes its final stop in Melbourne Docklands prior to the Opening Ceremony.
In addition, as part of Festival Melbourne 2006 - the largest arts and cultural event ever staged in Australia - Docklands will be treated to the exciting program of music and artwork by young Australian artists at The Zone in Shed 14 on Central Pier.
