Other Kate claims her finest sporting moment to be winning bronze in the 4x100m medley relay at the Commonwealth Games in 2002.

Her tip for the top is hard work, dedication and commitment, and she describes herself as friendly, out-going and dedicated.

She has held two British long course records and 14 British junior long course records in her career.

She says her biggest disappointment in sport was not making the Olympic squad, and than her ultimate ambition is to one day become an Olympic gold medallist.

Her favourite sports other than swimming are athletics and rugby, and she was on her school cross-country team.
