Hayley Tullett of Wales has qualified fastest for the Finals of the Women's 1500m, ahead of Canadian Carmen Hussar.
Tullett clocked a season best time of 4 minutes 9.59 seconds, while Hussar recorded a time of 4:09.98.
Lisa Dobriskey of England qualified third fastest with 4:10.02 ahead of Australia's Suzanne Walsham, 4:10.38.
Also through to the finals are Hayley Ovens of Scotland, who set a season best time of 4:10.52 and Ashley Couper from Bermuda who ran a personal best 4:11.03.
Others finalists include England's Helen Clitheroe (4:11.05), Australians Lisa Corrigan (4:11.21) and Sarah Jamieson (4:11.85), Canadians Hilary Stellingwerff (4:11.75) and Malindi Elmore (4:12.51 and Viola Kibiwot (4:12.33) of Kenya.
Discarding their running shoes beside the track, two barefoot South African sisters Dina and Lebogang Phakula captured the crowd's imagination and support.
Although neither sister finished in the first four of her heat, Lebogang ran a personal best time of 4:18.31.
