Jamaica’s Brigitte Foster-Hylton has won the final of the Women’s 100m Hurdles in a time of 12.76.
Foster-Hylton went into the gold medal race as favourite, after setting a new Games record in the heats on Wednesday night, but was unable to better this time in the Final.
Canada’s Angela Whyte ran a close second for the silver medal in a time of 12.94. It was an all Jamacian fight for the bronze medal, with Delloreen Ennis-London narrowly edging-out compatriot Lacena Golding-Clarke.
Australia’s Fiona Cullen, who reached the Semi Finals in the same event at Manchester, finished in fifth position.
Australia’s Sally McLellan tragically tripped at the ninth hurdle, resulting in disqualification.
