South Africa is hoping to place in the top six in the Team event of the Women's Artistic Gymnastics on Day Two, following its dominating performance in Subdivision One.
With the favoured teams set to compete in the evening, South Africa will have to wait to find out its final standing.
This competition also acts as qualifying for the individual All Round and apparatus finals in the coming days.
South Africa's Francki van Rooyen finished first in the All Round competition with a score of 52.4, followed by team mate Chanel Candice Moonsammy who finished with a score of 50.45.
The Malaysian team was polished and sleek in each event, showing strength on the Floor and Vault. Nurul Fatiha B. Abd Hamid stood-out with a score of 49.35 for the Malaysian team, establishing its second place position for the session.
The Indian team was plagued by errors early in the competition, but moved on to please the crowd with its floor performances.
