The Mixed Doubles Squash competition is edging towards medal show-downs, after a full day of competition at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC).
New Zealand's Lara Petera and Callum O'Brien soared through their final Mixed Doubles Squash match, finishing on top of Pool F.
The pair, seeded sixth in the tournament, defeated Vanessa Florens and Nadeem Hosenbux of Mauritius in straight games - 9-3, 9-1, 9-2.
Another straight-game win saw seventh seeds Alison Waters and Adrian Grant of England accounting for Zambia's Chiluba Chilufya and Sharon Chimfwembe 9-6, 9-5, 9-3, to qualify second in Pool F.
In Pool C, Northern Ireland's Madeline Perry and Steve Richardson defeated Debra Adams and Gye Duncan of Norfolk Island, putting them in a good position to claim second spot.
Australian top seeds David Palmer and Rachael Grinham continued their winning form, dispatching Navin Samrasinghe and Nirasha Guruge of Sri Lanka in straight games.
In a match played in good humour, the Sri Lankan pair became accustomed to the pace as the match went on but could do nothing to prevent the dominant Australians winning 9-0, 9-4, 9-3, and finishing comfortably at the top of Pool A.
Squash competition runs until 26 March.
