IMPORTANT GAMES INFORMATION
Seating plans
To accommodate special requirements for presenting the Games, most M2006 venues will need to be reconfigured. For this reason, detailed venue seating plans will be released closer to the time of the Games.
Venue seating
M2006 cannot guarantee specific seating requests for the tickets sold through the Group Ticket Offer.
A number of sessions feature multiple Price Levels and reserved seating.
Reserved seating means that each individual ticket is assigned a specific seat in the venue and only the ticket holder may occupy that seat.
Some venues and sessions feature general admission seating. General admission means that you choose your own seat, in the Price Level you have purchased, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Due to the nature of some events and their venues, not all venues will have guaranteed seating. Standing room general admission tickets will be available at certain venues, as identified in the Event Schedule on the Group Ticket Offer Order Form.
Venue conditions
Conditions at venues vary, including access, seating, protection from weather, terrain and facilities available. Some areas of venues are exposed to direct sunlight and heat. You are required to take appropriate care for your hydration and sun protection.
What does 'Price Level' mean?
The cost of the ticket, known as the 'Price Level', indicates the seat's relative proximity to the 'Competition area'.
Depending on the size and physical configuration of a venue, higher Price Levels may be located at the same distance or further from the field of play than lower Price Levels but will offer a superior viewing experience.
As Price Levels reduce, they will be correspondingly further away and not as centrally positioned to the field of play.
Lower Price Levels will still provide a great Games experience.
General admission venues may have only one or two Price Levels. These venues are generally smaller, with all seating providing a similar proximity to the field of play.
Please note: All decisions regarding Price Level locations are made at the discretion of M2006. These decisions are made with due regard to all available information at the time of publication, taking into consideration structural constraints of venues, venue infrastructure, the nature of the sport requirements, safety, broadcast and security requirements, contractual obligations and individual session components. Seating configurations and Price Level breaks may change on a session-by-session basis.
Accessibility
The Official Group Ticket Offer Order Form lets you nominate the type of accessible seating you require to meet your needs. A speciality ticketing representative will contact you to discuss your requirements.
There are two types of accessible seating:
1. wheelchair-accessible seating space with a seat for a companion
2. easy-access seating, with additional space for a mobility aid, guide dog or the like.
Ticket prices for people who require a wheelchair space and an accompanying seat will be at the lowest price available for that particular session, irrespective of location in the venue, as wheelchair locations are not available across all Price Levels.
M2006 guarantees that you can purchase a minimum of one accompanying seat for each wheelchair order.
Easy-access and other forms of accessible seating will be at the price of the relevant Price Level in which those seats are located.
All accessible and wheelchair seating is subject to availability.
Companion Card
The Companion Card (Victoria only) is welcome at all Games venues and sporting sessions.
Victorian and Interstate visitors without a Companion Card must include a doctor's letter verifying that they need carer assistance.
Remember to complete your Companion Card details on the Official Group Ticket Offer Order Form.
When the holder of a Companion Card (or equivalent doctor's letter) orders a ticket, M2006 will provide a companion ticket to that same session free of charge to the cardholder. A speciality ticketing representative will contact you to discuss your requirements.
Exchange and refund policy
Once your order is submitted you cannot change your ticket requests. Please consider your request carefully and choose sessions and Price Levels wisely. All tickets are sold under a No Exchange, No Refund policy except
as specified in clauses 16 to 20 of the Conditions of Group Ticket Offer
.
Parking
Parking is not available at Games venues.
